Delete your data

Klera has no user accounts, and we hold no copy of your ledger. Everything you enter is stored on your device — so deleting your data is instant, complete, and entirely in your hands. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because we never had it.

One thing to check: if you turned on Google Drive backup, encrypted backup files are sitting in your own Google account, not ours. Disconnect Drive in Settings → Backup — which stops future backups and clears your saved passphrase from the device — and delete any remaining backups through your Google account if you want them gone too.

  1. Optional: export a copy first

If you want to keep your records, go to Settings → Privacy → Export My Data. You'll get a complete JSON file of everything in the app.

  2. Delete everything in one tap

Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete All My Data. This permanently wipes every transaction, account, contact, goal, budget and setting from your device. It cannot be undone.

  3. Or simply uninstall

Uninstalling Klera also removes all app data from your device, including the encrypted database.

Questions or verification requests

If you have any questions about data deletion, or want written confirmation that Klera holds no server-side data about you, email support@kleraapp.com. We acknowledge within 48 hours. See also the privacy policy.
